PhotoTask is built on trust, respect, and collaboration. These guidelines help ensure our platform remains a safe, welcoming space for community members and photo requesters worldwide.

1. Be Respectful and Kind

Treat all members of our community with respect and kindness. We're all here to help each other capture amazing photos from around the world.

  • Use polite and professional language in all communications
  • Be patient and understanding with other users
  • Respect cultural differences and local customs
  • Provide constructive feedback when appropriate

2. Photo Request Guidelines

For Requesters

  • Provide clear, detailed descriptions of what you need
  • Include specific location information and any relevant context
  • Set realistic timelines and expectations
  • Be responsive to community members who accept your requests
  • Respect community members' time and effort
  • Only request photos that are legal and appropriate

For Community Members

  • Only accept requests you can realistically fulfill
  • Communicate clearly about your timeline and availability
  • Deliver high-quality photos that match the request
  • Respect privacy and property rights when taking photos
  • Follow local laws and regulations
  • Be honest about your location and capabilities

3. Content Standards

All content shared on PhotoTask must be appropriate and legal. We prohibit:

  • Explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content
  • Violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery
  • Content that promotes illegal activities
  • Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
  • Copyrighted material used without permission
  • Photos that violate privacy or consent
  • Spam, scams, or fraudulent requests

4. Privacy and Safety

Respect Privacy

  • Don't share personal information without consent
  • Respect private property and no-trespassing signs
  • Don't take photos of people without their permission when privacy is expected
  • Be mindful of sensitive locations (hospitals, schools, etc.)

Stay Safe

  • Never share your exact location in real-time
  • Meet in public places if meeting is necessary
  • Trust your instincts and report suspicious behavior
  • Follow local laws and regulations

5. Communication Guidelines

  • Keep all communications professional and on-topic
  • Respond to messages in a timely manner
  • Be clear and specific about expectations
  • Don't use the platform for personal conversations unrelated to photo requests
  • Report any harassment or inappropriate behavior immediately

6. Intellectual Property

Respect intellectual property rights:

  • Only upload photos you own or have permission to share
  • Don't request photos that would violate copyright or trademark laws
  • Community members retain ownership of their photos
  • Requesters may use received photos according to the agreed terms
  • Report any copyright infringement

7. Reviews and Ratings

Provide honest, constructive feedback:

  • Base reviews on actual experiences
  • Be fair and objective
  • Don't leave false or misleading reviews
  • Focus on the work quality and communication, not personal attributes
  • Don't use reviews to harass or threaten others

8. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Manipulating the rating or review system
  • Using the platform for commercial spam or advertising
  • Attempting to circumvent platform rules or restrictions
  • Sharing account credentials or allowing others to use your account
  • Engaging in any form of fraud or deception

9. Reporting Violations

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:

  • Report it immediately through the app or website
  • Provide specific details about the violation
  • Include screenshots or evidence when possible
  • Don't engage in retaliation or public shaming
  • Trust our moderation team to handle reports appropriately

Violations of these guidelines may result in:
