Getting Started

How do I create my first photo request?

Open PhotoTask, tap the Submit tab, choose a location on the map, add a title and description, then submit your request. It will be visible to nearby community members for 24 hours.

How do I fulfill someone's photo request?

Browse requests on the Map tab, tap on a request marker to see details, then tap "Accept Request" if you can help. Take the photo and upload it through the app.

Do I need to pay to use PhotoTask?

PhotoTask is free to use! You can create and fulfill photo requests at no cost. We also offer a Pro subscription with additional features available for purchase.

Account & Profile

How do I change my username?

Go to Profile → Settings → Edit Profile. You can change your username once every 30 days. Usernames must be 3-20 characters and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account in Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data. You can also request data deletion through our website.

How do I update my profile photo?

Go to Profile → Settings → Edit Profile, then tap on your profile photo to upload a new one. You can take a photo or choose from your gallery.

Photo Requests

How long do photo requests stay active?

All photo requests automatically expire after 24 hours to ensure fresh and relevant opportunities for community members.

Can I request photos from any location?

Yes! You can request photos from anywhere in the world using our interactive map picker with Google Places integration.

What happens if no one fulfills my request?

If your request expires without being fulfilled, you can create a new request for the same location. Consider adding more detail to your description to attract community members.

Privacy & Safety

Is my personal information safe?

Yes, we use enterprise-grade security, encrypt sensitive data, and follow GDPR compliance. Your privacy is protected with comprehensive privacy controls.

Can I control who sees my profile?

Yes, go to Profile → Privacy Settings to control what information is visible to other users and manage your data sharing preferences.

What should I do if I see inappropriate content?

Report it immediately using the report button in the app. We have a comprehensive safety system and will review all reports promptly.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing or not loading properly

Try closing and reopening the app, restarting your device, or updating to the latest version. If issues persist, contact our support team.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check your device notification settings and ensure PhotoTask has permission to send notifications. Also verify your internet connection.

Photos are not uploading

Check your internet connection and ensure you have sufficient storage space. Try uploading smaller images or restarting the app.
